Go For A Hike

If you and Mom are feeling up to a little physical activity, get the hiking shoes out and find a nearby trail or park. There’s nothing like enjoying nature while getting your heart rate up a bit. Hiking is an underrated exercise because it isn’t usually appreciated for the positive effects it has on your aerobic health. Consider it a kind of low-intensity steady state (LISS) workout.

Bike Ride

You never forget how to ride a bike, right? Well, put that theory to the test if it’s been a while for you or your mother. Biking offers just a touch more of a thrill to exercise than a jog or power walk does. It can be a great way to have some competitive fun, too, if your mom is up for something like that.

Spa Day

It’s not always about physical health all the time. Mental health is just as, if not more important. How about a day at the spa, complete with massages and facials? Book a day in advance at any local spa and treat Mom. She brought you into this world, so it’s the least you can do, really. Unwind and enjoy the finer things in life!
