Miguel’s #UNSTOPPABLE Journey

Miguel Acosta began his weight loss journey when he was just 16 living in New York City. He had always loved bodybuilding but felt too insecure to commit to it. Now, Acosta is 25, living in Wisconsin and just under three months out from his first National Physique Committee (NPC) show. In just 12 weeks, Acosta went from 206 pounds to 185 pounds and eight percent body fat.

Although Acosta began to lose weight about 10 years ago, he was always too nervous to try his hand at bodybuilding. Now, he is 25 and has recently undergone a tragic event in his life, which inspired him to commit to bodybuilding and sign up for his first NPC show. Since May 4, 2019, Acosta has dropped 21 pounds, lowered his body fat to eight percent, and gained a lot of muscle, as well.

Even though bodybuilding has always been a passion of his, Acosta was close to throwing in the towel.

“Well, I wanted to give up about four weeks into my lean bulk because I am currently working as a supervisor for seal coating at a company out of Union Grove, Wisconsin,” Acosta said.

In just 12 weeks, Acosta dropped 21 pounds and reduced his body fat to eight percent. He is competing in his first NPC show in less than three months.

Acosta’s job can be incredibly time-consuming, working anywhere from eight to 14 hours a day, seven days a week some weeks. However, the encouragement from his friends, family, Xperience Fitness members, and Xperience Fitness staff kept him going.

“I stuck to it and I couldn’t be any happier that I did,” Acosta expressed.

Just six weeks after he began his bodybuilding, weight loss journey, Acosta started to see his abdominal muscles coming through. That is when he realized his program was working.

Acosta’s advice is to simply continue putting in the work.

“The progress and results will be more than satisfying,” Acosta ensured. “Also, no matter what you’re going through in life, whether it’s financial, emotional, or physical, you can still get it done! There are no excuses whatsoever.”
