For many people, there isn’t just one fitness or weight loss journey. There may be several different paths with each one leading to a different end. For Angel Wild, there have been many beginnings to her weight loss odyssey. After numerous failed attempts to get her weight where she wanted it to be, Angel decided it was time to work with a personal trainer. “I started with my first trainer back in 2018, and although our time together was short-lived, she definitely made me want to continue on with my journey,” she said.

However, a knee injury caused Angel to be sidelined for an extended period of time which led to decreased motivation and regression in her goals. But in early 2020, Angel set out once more to get to where she wanted to be. Angel set up an appointment with Xperience Fitness personal trainer Jake Zvonar and since then, she has lost nearly 60 pounds!

Naturally, this hasn’t always been an easy road to be on. “There were many times, in the beginning, I wanted to give up… and I was insecure about coming in and weight lifting on my own,” she said. “For fear of embarrassing myself or injuring myself, because I barely knew what I was doing, I always gravitated towards cardio.” This is a problem many gymgoers face. The anxiety of simply not knowing what to do can be overwhelming. Having a trainer, though, someone who is always watching out for you, is immeasurably helpful. “He (Jake) has helped me gain confidence in myself, too, in so many ways,” Angel said. “I have felt so much better about myself and being in the gym alone more so these past few months.”

To others who may be looking for words of wisdom, Angel said, “A month from now, you can either have a month of progress or a month of excuses why you didn’t.”

Excellent advice, Angel! Great work, and we can’t wait to see what else you are able to accomplish!
