Amanda’s #UNSTOPPABLE Journey
When Amanda Cich joined Xperience Fitness Blaine in the spring of 2017 she was tired of how she felt, both physically and mentally. When Cich started at Xperience she weighed 148 pounds and had 25 percent body fat, in just over a year and a half, she has dropped to 122 pounds and 16.5 percent body fat.
Knowing she had to make a change, Cich joined Xperience Fitness Blaine and immediately started with personal trainer Kristy Fugate. Prior to exercising, Cich had been gaining a lot of weight from drinking with friends and not caring about the food or toxins she put in her body.
“I was always super unhappy with the way I looked and the way I felt,” Cich revealed.
At first, Cich struggled with sticking to her no drinking or going out diet. Having to say no to stay home and meal prep was something she had never done before and took some getting used to. Cich also challenged herself to always making time to go to the gym and completing a workout and drinking at least one gallon of water a day.
“There were many times I wanted to give up but then remembered that I not only wanted to prove to everyone else what hard work does but also myself,” Cich expressed. “I wanted to feel confident in myself and my choices. I wanted to be healthy and happy.”
While Cich has a strong determination to be healthy and happy, Xperience’s staff and trainers helped her significantly throughout her journey.
“Xperience has helped make working out easier with the most amazing staff and positive trainers that want you to succeed,” Cich said. “There are always others around that were there to help me if I had questions on equipment and exercises.”
As the workouts started to get more difficult and Cich was able to keep up she realized the effort she was putting in was beginning to pay off. Plus, Cich was crushing every goal she set for herself.
Now, Cich feels much more comfortable working out alone and knows how to prepare herself for the gym; she says a good, healthy breakfast is always key.
To continue making and meeting new goals, Cich takes extra precaution when reading nutrition labels and counting her macros, she also is always searching for new exercises to try and continuously ups the amount she lifts.
Although Cich is not exactly where she wants to be yet, she is excited about the journey she has had and for the journey to come.
“I am nowhere near where I want to be, but I am extremely happy with how far I’ve come,” Cich expressed. “Hard work really does pay off once you realize what it is you want and how hard you’re willing to work for it.”
