In June of 2020, started her weight loss journey and is now living a healthier, more comfortable life. “I realized I needed to change when I started hating how I looked in every photo taken, didn’t like how any clothes looked on me, felt extremely unhappy most of the time, and taking my dog for a short walk was exhausting,” she told us. For Lauren Pfile, the story is about her impressively losing 30 pounds in just three months. Like many people starting a new regimen, Lauren had feelings of anxiety and unease as she didn’t have a full understanding of how to reach her goal. Over the last five years, she has lost a whopping 92 pounds. After attending a friend’s engagement party, Haley had an epiphany. She saw herself in some photos with her friends and thought “you are too young to be this unhappy with yourself.” That was the moment she committed to bettering her health, both physical and mental. Kelly Savelkoul, a fitness instructor at Xperience Fitness Waukesha, got a call that would change her life. Although Savelkoul prepared herself for days for this phone call, receiving the news that you have cancer is one you cannot mentally prepare for. “I had prepared myself for days, since the first bad mammogram, through the biopsies, to be ready to accept the worst case,” Savelkoul recalled. “But I was not prepared, not one bit. How could I truly be ready to face something like this, on a moment’s notice? However, as the days progressed after the diagnosis, Savelkoul and her doctors formed a plan and her life began to return to normal. Savelkoul’s normal was teaching and taking classes at Xperience, activities she had been doing for years prior. Read more.

If you ask any number of people about their fitness or weight loss journey, you are bound to get the same number of stories. Each person has a unique record of what they have accomplished and what they are still striving to achieve. For Elie Yazigi, the story began in July of 2020. Since that time, Elie has lost more than 50 pounds. Back then, Elie weighed in at just over 200 pounds and today he is maintaining a weight of just under 150. Read more.

Everyone has their own story and everyone has their own obstacles to push through. For Tom, the hurdles he’s had to overcome are a bit higher than others. Tom primarily uses a wheelchair to get around, which, naturally, requires more effort to complete his workout regimen. However, this isn’t anything that has stopped him from striving to achieve his goals and inspiring others. Read more.

When Terry started his fitness journey, he weighed just under 300 pounds in October of 2016. Just over a year later, he was down to 180 pounds, but he still wasn’t satisfied. Over the next few months, he wanted to add muscle. Muscle adds weight, but it’s different than adding weight by way of fat. Terry indeed added muscle and bulked up to 215 pounds! Read more.

Losing 50 pounds is one of the most significant milestones someone can hit during their fitness journey. For Shiomi Thao, meeting the 50-pound mark came with the help from the training staff at Xperience Fitness in Roseville. “Training with Tommy (XF personal trainer) has provided me with the best education and training about fitness,” she said. “His guidance added on to my unfamiliarity of body-building and nutrition.” Read more.
